Our fossil findings!
Starting from the lower left, we found an ancient snail shell, a couple shark's teeth above that, the next fossil over is a small tusk belonging to a relative of the manatee, then we have a vertebrae of a whale as the big black thing, and all the way on the right we found a fulgurite, or petrified lightning! When lightning hits the sand it fuses it together (glass) and forms a fulgurite. All this information was compliments of Ranger Dan, who we were lucky enough to meet down on the beach that day.
